The Split bench shows just how strong simplicity can be. A slim aluminium frame, a flat seat and nothing to distract the eye: this backless bench settles quietly into any outdoor space. It seats three people, so you can fit more guests around your garden table than with separate chairs. And because there is no backrest, it is easy to step on and off from either side.

All aluminium, light and strong
Both the frame and the seat are made of aluminium. This material is lightweight, rustproof and fully recyclable, so you can lift the bench to wherever the sun is without any effort. The Split bench is an original design by our own designers and is available in several colours. For a softer seat, simply add two separate seat cushions that fit the seat exactly.

Keeping your bench at its best
Aluminium asks very little of you, but cleaning it a few times a year keeps the coating in top condition. Start by hosing away leaves and loose dirt; a pressure washer or stiff brush can scratch the coating. After that, a damp cloth with the right care product is often all you need. Finish with the Protector for aluminium, textilene, polywood and wicker to add a water- and dirt-repellent layer, so rain and dust have less grip on the frame.

Ideas for your outdoor space
Place the bench along one long side of your garden dining table and use dining chairs on the other side for a relaxed look and extra seats.
