At Life Outdoor Living, we put just as much care into what’s inside a cushion as we do into the fabric around it. Every seat and back cushion features smart design, premium materials, and years of expertise in outdoor comfort. You can choose from three types of outdoor covers – All-weather Textilene, Soltex, Comforma and Bouclé – but inside, they’re all equally well engineered.

What’s inside our cushions?

Our seat cushions are made with SG24 polyurethane foam – a type of foam known for its high resilience. SG24 refers to the foam’s density (24 kg per m³), which indicates quality rather than firmness. That’s a common misconception: the ‘firmness’ of a cushion depends on how the foam rebounds, not on its weight.

Around the foam, there’s a layer of Fiberfill – a soft polyester filling that gives the cushion its sleek shape and adds extra comfort. This layer is carefully bonded to the foam to keep everything neatly in place. Fiberfill is soft to the touch, resilient, and quick-drying – perfect for outdoor use. And just as important: it’s hygienic and resistant to mould and bacteria.

The entire core is enclosed in a dense, antibacterial polyester inner cover. This protective layer keeps the interior clean and safe. Replacing the outer cover? We’ll provide a new zippered antibacterial cover as well, so everything stays properly sealed.

Our cushion fabrics

Our collection includes three different cushion fabrics, each with its own unique benefits. Naturally, all three types of garden cushions are weather-resistant, colourfast, dirt-repellent, and washable. Still, they differ in look, feel, and specific characteristics.
