Teakwood is sourced from the teak tree, a tree that can grow up to 40 meters tall and traditionally thrives in South Asia. The teak tree's slow growth makes teakwood a sustainable resource. Due to the teak tree's gradual growth, the wood acquires properties that make it highly suitable for outdoor use. The growth rings are closely spaced, increasing the percentage of oil and fat in the wood. This prevents the wood from drying out - extending its lifespan. The SVLK certification (Sistem Verifikasi Legalitas Kayu) for teakwood garden furniture guarantees legally and sustainably produced wood.
