Waterproof thanks to a clever detail
The defining detail is the lid: it closes over a raised edge, so rainwater cannot run inside. The lid opens fully, which means even large back cushions go in without a struggle. Strong gas struts hold the lid open and let it close in a controlled way, so you have both hands free and never trap your fingers. The sturdy frame is made of aluminium, lightweight and rust-free. Care and smart storage
Only store your cushions once they are completely dry, because moisture in a closed space is exactly what mould is waiting for. After a damp spell, leave the lid open now and then so air can circulate. Clean the aluminium a few times a year; a damp cloth with the right care product is often all you need. Rinse off loose dirt with a garden hose first and avoid pressure washers or stiff brushes, so the coating stays undamaged.
