Craftsmanship in teak
The Jura lounge set shows what fine woodwork looks like. At the corners you can see the finger joints: wooden teeth that interlock precisely and make the joint extra strong. The back and corners are softly rounded, giving the set an open, inviting form. This corner layout, with a left sofa, a right sofa and a corner unit, seats five. At both ends there is a side table whose legs are set slightly inwards, so the top seems to float.

Deep seating on a sprung seat
The frame and side tables are made of teak. Teak grows slowly, so its growth rings sit close together and the wood contains plenty of natural oil; that stops it drying out and makes it naturally resistant to moisture. Under the cushions there is a textilene sling seat that gives slightly, so you never sit on a hard base. The large cushions create a deeper seat at a normal seat height, ideal for sitting back for hours. You choose the cushions in several colours and fabrics. Our own designers drew the Jura with an eye for detail: even without cushions, the set looks light and airy from your living room.

Caring for teak
Teak needs periodic care: clean it at least twice a year, for example in spring and autumn. Use our Teak cleaner, which is gentle on the wood and leaves no soap residue. To keep the warm colour, apply Teak colour Nature; if you prefer the wood to turn a natural grey, skip that step. Finish with Teak shield, a protective layer against dirt, grease and stains. With the right care products this is not difficult, and the wood only gains character over the years. All our teak carries an SVLK or FSC certificate.

Styling tips
Place the square Jura coffee table in the inside corner, so everyone can reach it from the sofa. An outdoor rug in a soft shade enhances the warm look of the teak.
