Today we’re taking a look under Nadya’s covered terrace, a cosy space where relaxation and togetherness go hand in hand. Together with her partner, she has created a place where they feel completely at home. And soon their family will be growing – a little one is on the way! Alongside her busy work schedule, Nadya runs the successful Instagram account @home_by_nadya, where she shares beautiful home and garden inspiration. A personal style with a modern twist

Nadya and her partner designed their garden with plenty of creativity. “We’re really creative spirits,” Nadya says with a smile. Their inspiration can’t be captured in just one word but leans towards modern with a warm touch.

After visiting the Life Outdoor Living store in Eindhoven, they were convinced. “We wanted a lounge sofa to relax on after a long day at work, complete with an outdoor fire table for that extra touch of cosiness. The Timber lounge set turned out to be perfect because the seating is slightly higher, which is ideal for my back. It just felt right, and we’re very happy with our choice.”

Green: lively and fresh

When it came to colours and materials, Nadya didn’t have to think twice. “I instantly fell in love with the green lounge cushions. Everyone said: ‘Why not beige or grey?’ But I wanted something different. The green really highlights our outdoor space and goes perfectly with the matte black of the furniture and terrace. Plus, it creates a lively and fresh look.”

Nadya’s favourite spot? Without a doubt, the covered terrace with the lounge set. “Especially in the evenings, when you can watch the sunset and the cats come to sit with me. It’s my ultimate place to unwind after a busy day.”

“Between my full-time job and posting on Instagram, I find relaxation under the terrace. Light the fire and just enjoy!”

Barbecuing in every season!

There’s still one dream item on Nadya’s wishlist: a luxury barbecue unit that can be used even in winter. “I’m currently designing and building it. A small shelter so we can barbecue even when the Dutch weather isn’t on our side. It’ll be handy in spring, summer, autumn and winter, because eating outside together is always a joy!”

A smile spreads across Nadya’s face as she recalls New Year’s Eve, when she and her friends could sit outside under the terrace, enjoying the fire table. “It gave such a cosy feeling in winter, something we rarely did before we had the terrace,” she shares with a touch of nostalgia. All in all, Nadya sounds more than satisfied with their choice of Life’s garden furniture. “They don’t just offer comfort and style, but make our garden a place we can enjoy all year round,” she concludes with a beaming smile.
