The Algarve garden table measures 230x120 cm and gives six people plenty of room to linger over dinner. The oval top rests on a single central column, so everyone can pull up a chair without a table leg in the way. The column flows seamlessly from the tabletop and tapers towards the base. Together with the subtly rounded edge, this gives the table an organic, airy look that brings calm to your outdoor space.
A ceramic top with character
The tabletop is ceramic: a thin ceramic layer bonded to a sheet of safety glass. This construction makes the top strong and slightly flexible, so it is less likely to crack. Ceramic is scratch-resistant, colourfast and stain-resistant, and a warm cup of tea or a day in full sun leaves no trace. The weighted column provides stability, and the 5 kg weight bags supplied make the table even steadier. The table is available in various colours, on a frame of weather-resistant aluminium that is lightweight and rustproof. Like all our tables, the Algarve was created by our own designers.
Keeping the top like new
Rinse off leaves and loose dirt with a garden hose first. Then clean the top with the Cleaner for ceramic, sintered stone and stonex and apply a coat of the Protector for ceramic, sintered stone and stonex twice a year. This makes the surface water- and dirt-repellent. For the aluminium base, a damp cloth with the right care product is often all you need; avoid pressure washers, as they can damage the coating.
Setting up the Algarve
The round column and softly rounded top look their best alongside chairs with curved shapes, such as the Vienna chair, which is paired with the Algarve as a set in the collection.
