The versatile medium size
The medium solar lantern in the Orion range is large enough to add atmosphere at ground level, yet compact enough for a coffee table or side table. Its round shape with an open weave of RuCore+ rope reflects the growing preference for soft, organic lines outdoors. The rope lets the light fall out in a subtle pattern. During the day, when the lamp is off, it remains a decorative feature.

Portable light with dusk sensor
Thanks to its aluminium frame and rope, the lantern is light, so you can easily carry it from the lounge area to the dining table. Inside is a black rechargeable LED unit. Charge it with the USB cable: after 2 to 3 hours the battery is full and the lamp glows for around 6 hours. The solar panel is mainly there to support charging and enables the dusk sensor, so the lamp switches on by itself as evening falls. For daily use, we recommend the cable, as charging by sunlight takes several days. Orion comes in a choice of colours.

Keeping it looking good
The RuCore+ rope is made around a rubber core, so water does not soak into the rope and it dries quickly. Remove loose dirt with a soft cloth; a damp cloth with the right care product is often all you need. A treatment with our Textile & RuCore protector twice a year keeps the rope dirt-repellent. Clean the aluminium frame with our aluminium cleaner.

Where to place it
Set it on a low side table next to your lounge chair or on the patio steps. Together with the small and tall Orion, you can create a cluster of lamps at different heights.
