Our ceramic tabletops consist of a thin layer of ceramic bonded to a sheet of safety glass. This is done to provide extra strength to the tabletops, allowing them to bend a bit without breaking. Ceramic is robust, heat-resistant, colorfast, and scratch-resistant. It is also impervious to staining and requires minimal maintenance—perfect for outdoor living!
We understand that you prefer to minimize maintenance for your ceramic outdoor furniture. Fortunately, ceramic is a very low-maintenance material, allowing you to enjoy it to the fullest. We do recommend cleaning your ceramic outdoor furniture a few times a year, and this can be easily done with our Ceramic Cleaner & Protector.
Proper maintenance will keep your ceramic outdoor furniture looking beautiful for a long time. We'll guide you through the steps of cleaning your ceramic outdoor furniture!
Required time: approximately 30 minutes
You'll need:
Start by getting rid of loose dirt, such as leaves, mud, green algae spores, and dust, by spraying your furniture with a garden hose. Create a soapy solution using warm water and dish soap. Dampen a soft cloth with this mixture and gently clean the ceramic surfaces until they are spotless. Rinse the ceramic with water to remove any soap residue, and allow the surfaces to air dry.
Once your furniture is completely clean, apply a protective layer using our Ceramic Cleaner & Protector. This creates a water- and dirt-repellent barrier, ensuring your furniture is ready for the upcoming garden season.
Shake the Ceramic Cleaner & Protector well. Apply a thin layer to the furniture using a clean, dry cloth. Let it sit for approximately 30 seconds until a haze forms. Polish the furniture with a dry cloth until the ceramic regains its shine.
For optimal results, we recommend repeating this process twice a year.
